National Training Standards - Working Group

The National Training Standards Working Group provides a platform for AAA to work together with key organisations across Australia, to develop best practice in disability access, awareness and inclusive arts training.


Currently, the National Training Standards Working Group comprises of:

  • Arts Access Australia
  • Access Arts Inc (QLD)
  • Accessible Arts NSW
  • Arts Access Central Australia
  • Arts Access Darwin
  • Incite Arts
  • Arts Access Victoria
  • Access2Arts (SA)


AAA coordinate the group, the aims of which are to:

  • Develop best-practice in disability access
  • Develop best-practice and parity of training standards in deaf and disability awareness training
  • Develop best-practice and parity of training standards in inclusive arts training
  • Best utilise the Arts Access Australia online e-learning resource


The group meet via teleconference 4 times per year to consider issues such as:

  • Training guidelines
  • Language
  • How to deliver fee-for-service training across Australia in the spirit of respect and collaboration
