Disability arts is based on an understanding of disability as a social and individual issue.

Debate about disability arts practice explores and confronts some of the complex issues around the social definitions and individual experiences of disability.

Disability arts practice also challenges perceptions of art and performance and raise issues of social justice and understanding vital to Australian society.
